Elevage: 12-14 months in barrel. Barrel selection varies depending on vineyard and vintage - First, second and third use barrels used.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Deep dark violet color with reddish hues.
Nose: The nose is concentrated, with aromas of cassis and ripe currants intertwined with notes of tobacco, cedar and eucalyptus.
Palate: Full body, large silky tannins. Dry palate has red apple, ripe black cheery jam, maraschino liquor. Finish is strong long and full.
Food pairing: Lamb, venison, steaks, mature cheeses.
