BOUCHARD AINE & FILS
Beautiful, brilliant, intense ruby red in colour. Evocative of aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherry and crushed strawberry with subtle oaky nuances. A silky, unctuous wine that is bursting with red fruit flavours and features a touch of brininess on the finish.
Traditional Burgundian vinification in open vats with long maceration and punching of the cap. Aged in oak barrels (25 to 30% new oak) for 14 to 16 months to lend structure and complexity to the wine.
Try this wine with red meat, poultry and game as well as with mild cheeses such as Brie or Pont-l’Evêque. It would go marvellously with a filet of venison with cranberries, duck breast with apricots or quail with grapes.
