Type: Light-bodied red wine
Soil: Well-drained day-loam soils and rolling hills.
Vinification: Micro-lot fermentations to isolate the individual flavors and aromas. The majority of this wine is fermented in 500-liter French oak puncheons and punched down by hand. A portion is fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: In French oak. The wine is never racked or filtered and rests ‘sur lie’ for the entire aging period.
Color: Dense ruby red.
Nose: Aromas of crushed black cherry, cloves, and vanilla with cola undertones.
Palate: Full-bodied showing bright, bold, juicy, red cherry and raspberry jam fruit. On the midpalate are nuanced flavors of cranberries, cocoa powder, and vanilla that carry through to a long finish.
