Region: USA / California / Russian River Valley
Type: Full-bodied white wine
The Russian River Valley extends just south of the town of Healdsburg to the San Pablo Bay in the west. It has the coolest climate of all the regions in Sonoma because of the fog traveling up the Russian River from the ocean. The climate makes the Russian River Valley prime Chardonnay and Pinot Noir country.
Harvest: The grapes for this wine are carefully chosen from cool, fog-influenced vineyards sustainably farmed along the California Coast.
Fermentation: The wine undergoes a 100% Malolactic fermentation and is aged for 10 months in 70% French oak barrels (20% new), with the balance in stainless steel tanks.
Color: Straw yellow.
Nose: Aromas of vanilla and Gravenstein apple.
Palate: Its elegant palate reveals lemon marmalade and nutmeg with a beautiful, medium body and long finish.
Food pairing: Pork, rich fish (salmon, tuna etc), vegetarian, poultry.
