Juan Carrau Tannat

Cerro Chapeu, Uruguay.
Clean and bright, ruby red in color with garnet rims, presenting fine-layer tile tones that mark its aging. Good adherence in the glass. Nose with a good degree of complexity, medium-high intensity, combining aromas of ripe fruits, especially figs, then well-ripe red berries. All very well combined with the aging in wood, which leads us to spicy aromas (vanilla, cocoa) to the stimulating aroma of toast (coffee, tobacco and smoke). Rich and deep on the palate, very robust, the olfactory promise, long finish and balanced acidity are fully confirmed. Harmonious, ripe and soft tannins that fill the palate with pleasant sensations. Long aftertaste and good wood.
13 months in new French and American oak barrels and 12 months in bottle
Recommended to accompany medium to highly seasoned dishes, roasted red meats, sausages, roast suckling pig, roast lamb, chicken in its different preparations, slightly spicy sauces and medium-aged cheeses with a hard crust.
